I'm installing an HT system in my family room (Paradigm Ref 60s, CC, and in-ceilings; Denon 3802; SVS or Hsu sub) as well as in-wall speakers in five other rooms of my house for a house-wide sound system.
My installer is recommending an amp to drive the speakers in the five other rooms (specifically the Sonamp 1230, which I've priced at about $1,000). (The Denon would drive the family room HT system.)
As a newbie, my question is what sort of amp would I need for this application. Spending $1000 on an amp for this application seems a little high considering that one can get amps for much less. Any ideas or recommendations?
