I am going to build a SonoSub, not sure of my final design yet, but I am shopping for an amp.
I was first going to try an older HK PA2100 that I have lying around. It is 65x2, bridgeable to 130x1, and 4 ohm stable. Rocks pretty well, always like the high current from the HK's.
However, I not sure if that will be enough juice, besides, who cant use more power?
I was thinking Samson S550, and using it in stereo mode, for 275W a channel into each voice coil, for a total of 550.

But then, I saw this guy at parts express

And, for $140, seems like a steal. 250W, 4ohm stable, with a remote for volume and crossover. The only thing is the 6db boost at 35hz, but that might be bypassable.
What do you guys think? Buy the most power I can afford, or will 250W be satisfactory?
