Go with the one you can get the best deal on. One advantage to Rotel is they hold their value very well. I don't know if anthem holds value as well, but from what I've read they're both good amps.
Speakers are Boston VR40's, center VR920, Cerwin Vega sub LW-15
Problem is, my Onkyo receiver TX-DS787 is going into thermal protect just before "REF" level in 5.1, speakers set either "large" or "small". I play mostly movies, then listen to music. Either one of the two amps will solve my problem and more. The better deal would be Rotel.
I had the Anthem MCA 50 here for a bit. I really liked it. A very musical amp. I looked at Rotel too. But one of my criteria is where a component is built. The Anthem is manufactured in Canada, Rotel in China.
