Anyone help me decide which one of the two?, looking at the Anthem MCA 50 or Rotel RMB 1095?
Go with the one you can get the best deal on. One advantage to Rotel is they hold their value very well. I don't know if anthem holds value as well, but from what I've read they're both good amps.
What speakers are you running Henry? Have you considered going with a better 2 channel amp for the fronts and a 5 channel for the rest?
Speakers are Boston VR40's, center VR920, Cerwin Vega sub LW-15
Problem is, my Onkyo receiver TX-DS787 is going into thermal protect just before "REF" level in 5.1, speakers set either "large" or "small". I play mostly movies, then listen to music. Either one of the two amps will solve my problem and more. The better deal would be Rotel.
Thanks for your help..
I had the Anthem MCA 50 here for a bit. I really liked it. A very musical amp. I looked at Rotel too. But one of my criteria is where a component is built. The Anthem is manufactured in Canada, Rotel in China.
