Maybe I'm imagining things, but I seem to remember reading an announcement that the Gidget series was being released this year. Anyone else remember this?

First I've heard of this. One of the best one-season shows ever, along with He & She and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.- since the first three Gidget films are out, I hope they release the Sally Field series. And let's not forget the two later TV movies Gidget Grows Up and Gidget Gets Married, along with the Caryn Richman series The New Gidget.

I recall hearing a September release date for this and for Flying Nun as well. All we need now is Girl with Something Extra to complete the Sally Field Screen Gems trilogy.
