I am really amazed that this has not been released yet. With the year of the double-dips fully underway, this would make an excellent candidate. I wouldn't mind having a DTS track, anamorphic widescreen and a 2nd disc with some extras on it. Any word at all???

I've been wanting to get Con Air, The Rock and Armageddon for awhile but I'm holdiong out hope someday they will be re-released.

I know Armageddon and The Rock have Criterion editions out but they are out of my price range and hard to find around here.

I caved in and bought used copies of all three.

    Got tired of waiting...

If affordable SEs arrive, I'll have a better sense of whether the films are worth replacing.

Watched Armageddon and thought it was OK, better than the recent Day After Tomorrow.

[email protected] I know they are non-anamorphic but what is your opinion of the audio and video of the 3?

This movie had some great one-liners in it.

"There's only two men I trust, one's me and the other's not you."

The car got hooked and is being pulled through the air behind the plane and Nick Cage takes one look at it and says dead pan "Now there's something you don't see everyday."

    Great summer fun action movie.

On the subject of Nicolas Cage action movies, I hope Face/Off gets a special edition too. It was suggested that one was on the way earlier this year, but I haven't heard anything about it in awhile.

"Define ironic: A bunch of idiots, dancing on a plane to a song made popular by a group that died in a plane crash."

Put me down as someone interested in some extra goodies on this one as well. Steve Buscemi as Garland Green was simply brilliant.

The Rock CC is anamorphic and has one of the sweetest pictures I have ever seen. The original release of The Rock was non-anamorphic.

I also want a Crimson Tide SE to go along with a Con Air SE. I would purchase both immediately.

Con Air, Armageddon, The Rock, Enemy of the State, Crimson Tide - sigh, Jerry B. doesn't make 'em like this anymore...

"If your d--- jumps out of your pants you jump out of this plane!"

That's the only one I've watched.

PQ was mostly marginal, too many jaggies.

I've seen smoother 4:3 encoded discs (Strange Days).

Hoping 'The Rock' and 'Con' will be a bit better.

Con Air: Unrated Extended Edition will be released on 5/16/06, retail price $19.99.

If that sounds familiar, it's because that's the same date and package title of the Crimson Tide SE.

    No details, yet.

It's too bad they aren't release an anamorphic version of Armageddon, as well. It looks like I'll probably just get this on Blu-ray.

Are you serious? I beleive it with all the Unrated copies of movies being released. They will call it the "garland green edition". Ugh.

Nah, this isn't Paramount, I don't think that we have to worry about corney names with this one.
