Where would be best to try to get an X-Box now--post-launch? (1 Viewer)

I live in the northern suburbs of Detroit, and now that it's actually here, I'm drooling to get my hands on the X-Box. My wife is even coming around after hearing about the DD 5.1 and HDTV capabilities...
Any ideas where I might go to get this sucka?

My info is that Best Buy got 15% of all Xboxes...that's got to be by far the largest split to any one retailer. I'd look there for sure.

I checked five stores in my area and it seems Best Buy got the largest allotment. In addition, the Best Buy near me was taking Rain Checks today after they sold out there supply. I would be aggressive and call two or three stores such as Best Buy very often to find out the dates and times of their next shipment of the units.

I'd still check your local EBs/GameStops/Funcolands etc. Both GameStops I visited tonight had XBoxen in stock.

I was going to post a new thread about this but here will do.
I called 2 local K-Marts and I was told that they have not received any yet. One of the places told me that "they don't come out 'til Sunday." I didn't feel like arguing with her but it got me thinking that maybe K-Marts will get them on Sunday. Most likely, she was thinking of the GameCube - but maybe they will get x-box's too.

My local EB will continue to sell only X-Box bundles as long as demand is high. Someone in another thread reported that Microsoft would be producing 100,000 units a week. If that holds true you then you shouldn't have that hard of a time finding one if you're diligent. I agree with the others that BB will be best place to get one. You could also check their site from time to time.
