You can go up the Glendale Freeway North (2) that turns into Angeles Crest Highway. There are elevations that will have snow especially after this last storm. It is a 45 minute drive if not closer.

Checkout Julian which is east of San Diego. I believe that's the Laguna mountains and they usually have snow in the winder.
