I'm trying to write my Senator today regarding the Hollings copy protection bill (she sits on Holling's committee). To make sure I can back my arguments, I need published DVD sales figures, in particular DVD vs. VHS sales figures. I saw on DVDFile that they said the VideoScan numbers just released shows that DVD sales now account for 60% of the home video market, but I can't seem to find a source online for the exact VideoScan figures. Is this a private subscription service? If so, is there anywhere else I can find this information?

    Thanks,

    Rich

Video Store News publishes the charts. I don't remember the web site, but if you go down to a video rental place (mom & pop) you'll probably find they have a copy
