Where to find historical finanacial statements? (1 Viewer)

Howdy, I'm working on a project and I'm looking for historical financial statements for Disney. Apparently the SEC only requires companies to post data going back for 5 years. I need a lot more than that. I've searched Google and I've also searched some academic journals and databases through my school's library, but with no success. I'm sure this information is out there somewhere, I just don't know where to look anymore.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Here are 5 ideas for you:

Disney's website has annual reports going back to 1995, with financial data going back to 1993.

You can search the EDGAR database at www.sec.gov They have Disney 10k's going back to the one for the year ending September 30, 1996, which has full financial statements for 1995 and 1996, and summary info going back to 1992.

Your library probably has The Value Line Investment Survey, which has 10 years of summary historical information.

You could call an equity analyst. If you have an account at the firm, or a legitimate academic need, they should be willing to send you their model.

You could call the company: Wendy Webb, 818-560-5758 is listed at the investor relations contact.

Try asking your reference librarian/interlibrary loan librarian to borrow the print reports you need for the Walt Disney Company. Value line won't likely have what you need for Disney. Most public libraries will borrow them for you if they don't own them within their system. But keep in mind the circulation status will vary among institutions. Here's one bibliograpic record I found on my system at work:
