Hello all,

My new HT stuff is arriving Friday. I was at Home Depot to buy 200' of 12 guage speaker wire. They were out and so was every other store in my area. According to them it was on clearance and they will not be carrying it anymore.

Can you think of another place to buy it? HD sold it for $62 for a 250' spool or .32 per foot.

Help!

I need to get this ASAP so I can wire up my surrounds.

Will I see enough difference in 12 from 16 guage? The cable run is roughly 35'.

Does Home Depot carry any other type of cable I could use?

Try here or check out partsexpress.com for some. they've got some relatively inexpensive stuff from either SoundKing or Phoenix. Use their toll free # if you've any difficulty navigating their web page.

Parts Express as noted above has excellent prices, you can also get wire at places like Link Removed

Your local audio shop or Best Buy type place would also have such a solution.

12 gauge works fine. You also need to be aware that you need UL in wall rated wire if you plan on doing wall drops.
