I have a 51" Hitachi Widescreen TV. I currently have the axiom vp150 center channel. My question is am i better off to have a small stand sit in front of the TV on the floor with the speaker on top of it or should I leave the center channel on top of the TV? Thanks in advanced.

Ideally it should be the same height as the tweeters on your side surrounds, but practically it can go either above or below your TV. If below, you might want to angle it up so that the sound travels straight to the listening area.

If it is within a foot or so of the mains, it will be fine on top. Bring it all the way flush or even sticking out a bit from the front of the TV.

Ideally, the tweeters should be the same level as your main speakers, not the surrounds.
