This wonderful actor & his incredible filmography REALLY needs to be released on DVD!!! Let us start pressuring for the release of his films, soon! In the mean time I'll cling to my laser collection of his films.

I read that The Adventures of Robin Hood is going to be fully restored for a 2003 release. Given Warner's track record with restorations, it should look great. [IMG]

But the vast majority of Flynn's films have NOT been announced for restoration, and most of the classics belong to Warner Bros. SEA HAWK, CAPTAIN BLOOD, etc. I've been picking these up on eBay in the form of laser discs, and until something better comes along, they are well worth the investment.

Would love to see THE ADVENTURES OF DON JUAN on DVD- definitely one of the most gorgeous Technicolor movies that I've ever seen.

The following is a listing of my favorite Errol Flynn films that are still awaiting dvd release. Who would have thought that after five years of the dvd format only "Santa Fe Trail" is available on dvd which happens to be a Roan dvd release back in 1999. If Warner, the studio that Flynn performed the majority of this best work isn't embarassed by this fact then they ought to be....... Sure, it makes sense for "The Adventures of Robin Hood" to be release on dvd in 2003, which would mark the 65th anniversary of that film's theatrical release but what about the rest of his great entertaining films??????????[IMG]

I'd especially like to own DVDs of the following Flynn films:
GENTLEMAN JIM (1942) --a very funny film
    DESPERATE JOURNEY (1942)
    OBJECTIVE: BURMA! (1945)
THE PRINCE & THE PAUPER (1937)

It is a crying shame that Santa Fe Trail is all there is!
