I know it was released in Japan on May 15th, and will play movies in progressive scan, as well as offering support for DVD+/-Rs. It also had a built in infrared port for the DVD remote, if I recall.
Has this made it to the U.S. yet? I'm going to be buying a new PS2 soon, but I'm only interested in this newer revision.
