as you can see they cant do Season sets but they can still keep them in order.
it would take 37 dvd's with 4 shows on each.
that would be 6 box sets total with 6 disks each with the last box holding 7 disks.

this would work and still be in order.
and if they released them like star trek they could be released in one years time. [IMG]

Holy Cow! I never realized QUINCY went for so many seasons. I loved watching it, but just never paid attention to the number of episodes, etc.

The last few seasons though I would really hesitate to get if they were ever available because by then "Quincy" had ceased to be a detective type show and had become nothing more than a soapbox for silly advocacy on social issues in an overly pretentious fashion. Getting Quincy married in the final few episodes (where in a copout the officator just says, "Do you Quincy....") didn't help either.

The first four episodes that ran 90 minutes which were part of the NBC Mystery Movie wheel before "Quincy" was spun off into a weekly series would be great to see restored to full-length again since they air in syndication hacked down to a 60 minute format.

I remember it always being preachy-advocacy tv show. The episode that stuck in my head was the one with the guy with teret's(sp). Who was making strange noises in a movie theater and got a group angry and they chased him until he fell to his death. It became an orphan drug advocacy episode. Or the episode with the plane crash and the airline safety advocacy....you get the picture.

Seriously, it is amazing to watch that show and see the advances in technology when comparing it to CSI. Still an enjoyable show though.

ps-Jack Klugman should do a cameo on CSI.

The earlier episodes weren't that preachy. The first few seasons would definitely be worthy of purchase.

Like many shows, the writers either change or just run out of ideas. The networks heads say "just give us something, anything" until finally the ratings sink and the show is sent to syndication land.

These days, dogs are kept on life support well past their normal expiration for the sake of syndication planning alone (X Files season 9 anyone?)

im not sure that the first disk will work with this much time on it so they could do something like this on the first box set to make room for the first 4 shows.

    box set 1...

    Disk 1:
    01. Go Fight City Hall -- To the Death! (90 min)
    02. Who's Who in Neverland? (90 min)
    03. A Star Is Dead (90 min)

    Disk 2:
    04. Hot Ice, Cold Hearts (90 min)
    05. Snake Eyes (1)
    06. Snake Eyes (2)
    07. The Thigh Bone's Connected to the Knee Bone ... (90 min)

    Disk 3:
    08. Visitors in Paradise
    09. The Two Sides of Truth
    10. Hit and Run at Danny's
    11. Has Anybody Here Seen Quincy?
    12. A Good Smack in the Mouth

    Disk 4:
    13. The Hot Dog Murder
    14. An Unfriendly Radiance
    15. Sullied Be Thy Name
    16. Valleyview

    Disk 5:
    17. Let Me Light the Way
    18. No Deadly Secret
    19. A Blow to the Head ... a Blow to the Heart
    20. A Dead Man's Truth

    Disk 6:
    21. A Question of Time
    22. Death Casts a Vote
    23. Tissue of Truth
    24. Holding Pattern

    this would work for sure.
the stargat sg1 box sets has this much time on there disks and they look great. plus there are still only 6 disks in the box set. the studios seem to want to keep the same amount of disks in the box sets makeing the last box set the odd box if they have to.
come on UNIVERSAL you can do this. [IMG]
