I may just end up ordering it off Amazon but does anyone know where it may be sold at stores? I really love the look of that case and the whole set just looks so much better than the simple 2-disc dvd case

Well, the first question is would it be worth it to you? Second question is can you afford it?

Is this a loved movie of yours? If so and you cant find the set anywhere else, then buy it from Amazon.

You only live once (as far as I know so far anyways) afterall.

    Brian,

The 1st place I would try is an Disney store(s) that you may have by you.

BestBuy.com is offering it, so you might want to check there, have it avaliable for in-store pickup on release day.

I ended up ordering it at Amazon as well. They have the best non-Canadian on-line price.

Ok, can someone convice me that this set is worth the extra $$? The 2-disc set can be had for $15 (CC), and the cheapest I've seen the box for is $40 (BB, Target). What exactly is included? All I saw is a companion book, and 9 drawings. Granted I bought the Spider-Man box, but it has a comic, some drawings, plus a bonus DVD. I love the Lion King, all time best Disney animated movie (not counting Pixar distributions) so I'm trying to find some justification for the extra $25.

I'm passing on the gift set. Looks pretty, but as Chris rightly points out, there's just not much there for $20-$25 extra!

Dittos with Chris and Dave. Would LOVE the book. But would I pay $25 for it in a bookstore?

Doesn't anyone have any specs on the book and gift set extras?

I preordered Lion King and Finding Nemo at a local Disney store for $20 each and got the 4 free lithographs of each. Then I bought a couple discounted bean bag Halloween Pooh dolls for my nieces to get it over $50 and then got a $10 gift card instantly. I didn't ask about the gift set but didn't see it mentioned at the store.

Amazon.com has it for $34.99 with free shipping, use the share the love discount and it's yours for $31.49 shipped. I wouldn't pay $40 for it, but at basically $29.99+tax I couldn't resist![IMG]

I am very sorry I missed the ability to get Lion King
with the lithographs at a Disney Store for $19.99.
I would gladly pay $5 for the lithographs, but not
    the $10 - $20 that ebay wants.
(I could put them with my Lion King laser disc litos.)
Coconuts had a medallion that you could get if you
preorder, but the price was at list!!
Does anyone have connections for a set of litographs,
    [IMG]
I tried calling a Disney Store today and no dice!

(Also, any news about the Lion King book that comes
with the CE being sold on it's own??)

Whenever you place an order at Amazon.com you have the option of "sharing the love", meaning you can send a 10% discount on the exact same item to as many friends as you want.

Find a friend/roomate/HTF member/etc. to order the item, then send you a 10% discount. After you place your order, the other person may cancel theirs (if they don't cancel then they get the amount of the 10% discount you got in gift credit to use on anything).

With free shipping on $25+ orders and Share the Love, Amazon.com often has the best price on pre-orders.
