Where does the problem lie? (1 Viewer)

I have a jvcav48wp74, with a directtv samsung hd box hooked via dvi. Lately it goes into a purple haze around items lately, only sporadically tho. When I have switched to the dvd input I don't seem to have it. But again its sporadic so it could go away by the time I switch. I now hooked my hd receiver up via component and if it does it again would this not tell me its the hd receiver?

Well I swithced the dvi cable,same problem, it is now the tv input or the sat boxoutput, any feedback?
