For me, I like to sit close up for Pixar movies, and as far back as possible for comedys. Any other movie I sit on the side aisle, since it just feels right.

How 'bout you?

Center of the theater. At the theater I go to most often, there is an raised section that has a large gap or aisle in front of it, between it and the next row of seats, so you have nobody sitting directly in front of you, I try to get these seats as often as possible. Second choice is the row that would be in front of these - becasue nobody is sitting right behind me.

Same as Colin. Though, time and time again, I get there late enough for the middle to be occupied, so I sit on the side about a third the way back.

I always sit in an aisle seat when I go to the movies. I hate being boxed in. I usually sit half way up.

The theater I go to has a section for handicapped and people with wheelchairs. It's got tons of legroom! I love to sit there, but I immediately move elsewhere if someone more qualified to sit there shows up, of course.

Center horizontally - my brother has shaken his upon seeing me count seats and divide by two - and just far back enough that I can see the whole screen without actually moving my head.

[c]Back row center.[/c]

Only so the inevitable bozos can't get behind me to talk and kick the seat.
After the movie starts I may move forward. But then "they" will come in late and sit behind me anyway. :frowning:

Depends on the theater, but usually on the aisle (bad back and I need to be able to flex) 3/4 up.

Apparently either directly in front of, or behind, the loudest, most obnoxious dork in the theater.

Where I can see the whole screen in my view without turning my head either direction. Too close and you have to keep moving your head. Too far and it's like watching TV at Home.

ALL I want to see is the screen and nothing else.

I can't see going to the movies to view the movie so far back it looks like a 27 in TV

In my Showcase Theater it's just behind the handicapped row with the metal fence like barrier

I like to sit dead center but sometimes it could be a dead spot for bass, so my other choice would be 2/3Th back, and the guys working in the theater can't always see you her so you could put your feet up on the chair in frount of you, thats if no ones in it of coures.

In one of the seats on the main floor in front of the stadium seats. It's really close to the screen, without being TOO close. I slouch down in my seat, look up and enjoy. Seriously, it's the best seat in the house.

Hey you stole my seat, seriously it's getting bad these days. Although I will say aside from talking on his cellphone and drinking bear and talking a lot the guy who sat next to me at Blade 3 was very well behaved. :frowning:
Lately i've been favoring the theaters that crank the vollume so I don't have to hear the talkers.
As for actuall seating in an ideal environment I try to sit in what looks to be the best seat for sound, as the picture is usually ok from any seat..at least in my theaters.
