Where do i get a optical/coaxial coverter (1 Viewer)

My mini-stereo only has caoxial inputs for dd 5.1 no optical...but all the new systems ie Xbox and PS2 use optical...ive herd some people on this board say there is a otpical to coax converter...where would i find such a thing and what is it called...thanks

It's called digital signal convertor or an optical S/PDIF to coaxial S/PDIF convertor. MCM Electronics is a reliable mailorder/internet supplier and have one for about $15. It is the same brand that I have seen sold by other sites for $35-$100. Their part number is 24-4445 but alone it might not be enough for a miniumum order ($25 I think). ( mcmelectronics.com should get you started.

You can get one at Radio Shack....about $30-$50. They have them for either way you want to go. Optical to Coax or Coax to Optical.
