    Hi,

I know someone that is looking into getting this player. Which store/internet site has it for the cheapest price?

Nebraska Furniture Mart has it for $125. (Since you don't list your city I don't know if this will help you or not [IMG])

That $125 is a great price. Is the 1700 the cheapest player

out there today, or is there another new DVD player that's

even cheaper than the Toshiba 1700?

There are cheaper players available but mostly off-brand names. (Best Buy had one on sale yesterday for $70). I would go with a brand that's known for making quality players like Toshiba or Panasonic if it were me (I happen to own players from both of these manufacturers and would recommend either one). The SD-1700 for $125 is a great deal, IMO! [IMG]
    Good luck!
