Can't seem to find any. What kind of stores sell them? And to be more specific, where can I find some in Montreal?

I'm not understanding your question. Are you referring to blank or prerecorded one? To answer your question, you can't get any prerecorded ones. The movie studios opted not to invest into mass producing them. I've heard and read stories that there were a very few titles that were released in S-VHS format, but those titles are almost impossible to come by. Also, I don't know the name of the studio(s) that even took a chance to release S-VHS titles. Anyway, there is a place that I know that you can get blank S-VHS tapes. The place would be www.tapeworld.com. I'm getting ready to go to their site to buy some more DAT tapes; and that's no joke!!

Sorry if I wasn't more explicit, I meant blank S-VHS tapes.

I've bought them at Best Buy and Circuit City. A little hard to find as they carry only maybe one brand and size, and it gets lost among the other tapes.

cant you just drill a hole in a regular tape to "convert" it to s-vhs.

Drilling does work, but noise increases (increase in thin white lines dancing horizontally). And in EP mode, recordings do not look nearly as nice as they do on a real S-VHS tape (especially if you view on a large RPTV).

Oddly enough, I've picked some up at Target before, but that may not help you in Montreal. I also have gone to a good photo/video shop (Wolf Camera carried them at one time) to get them, but that was 10 years ago when they were real hard to find...

I suspect some online shops will also carry them, but I've never looked.
