I am going to replace the wires and connectors for my Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 system. I'm thinking of using Home Depot 14 gauge(1' Clear 14/2 Speaker Wire SKU: #546483)and some right angle plugs. I need right angle plugs for my wall mounted rears. I've checked "Rat Shack", "Canare", "Accessories-4-less" and "BetterCables" . Any other suggestions?

you might be able to get just the plug at your local "Guitar Center". Look either in your Yellow Pages or online for a local place. Bring your old one with you and they ought to be able to set you up. Other places online that might be able to hook you up would be Markertek. Might be a tight fit though into the body so perhaps one of the above has a ready made cord in the gauge you're looking for. As an aside, one could always get a larger plug with an adaptor down to 1/8. Good luck!

Chu: Not a bad idea, I'll check out the "Guitar Center" angle! Using an adaptor is not an option because I don't have enough depth from the back of the speaker to the wall.

Mouser carries the DGS line of phono plugs. They've got a right angle 3.5 mm but i don't know if it's mono or stereo. Regretfully no place in GA. Don't know if there's a local Newark Electronics around you but if there is, they're likely to have something. S/H would suck on $2 worth of parts.

Philmore makes a 3.5mm mono right angle plug (not gold), their P/N 70-095. Maximum cable OD is 4mm (less than 1/4 inch). http://www.cablesandconnectors.com/PIX/phn27.jpg

Calrad makes an adapter: Gold 3.5mm mono plug to RCA jack right angle http://www.svideodotcom.com/35488.html P/N 35-488
You could use this adapter and wire your speaker wire to an RCA connector.

They also make a P/N 30-376 3.5mm right angle mono phono plug with .15" cable opening - this would be similar to the Philmore product.
