I have two right and left "surround" type speakers to the left and right of my center channel. I am looking for some reasonably priced stands so that these speakers will be at ear level. I was at Best Buy today and they were charging about 99.00 for the ones I would need. This seems high - any ideas where I can buy some cheaper - maybe online somewhere?

Everyone here seems to like www.partsexpress.com They have high quality stands for a reasonable price. Much better than BB, though you will still spend around $100 after shipping.
I got my stands at Fry's Electronics here in Austin, but there's no location close to Michigan. I got some Studio Tech stands that are all-metal for $79.00 plus tax. This is the price range for a good set of stands.

Try http://www.electroshops.com. They have good selection and the last time I bought stands from them, shipping was included in the price. The aforementioned parts express is good too.

I found a nice pair at www.furnitureworks.com. They are adjustable to 45" in heighth. I don't have them yet but they look like they'll fit the need for my surrounds. I should get them in a week. They were $89.00. The model number is 400 A/H series or something like that.

    Thanks for the links, guys.
I ended up getting a pair of 31" stands from Soundcity.com for 50.00....
This saved me 50.00 from what I would have spent at Best Buy.
