i own a pair of mirage frx-7 speakers and the binding posts won't accept 1/4" spades. short of replacing the binding posts (which i really don't want to do), what options do i have regarding finding larger width spades. i would much rather use spades so don't mention banana plugs as an option because that's what i'm currently using. thanks for any input you can provide.

I had the same problem as you, only with my HTD Level3's.
I went to a local stereo store that carried these.
I got the AudioQuest Silver plated ones for about $12 for 2 pair.
The size you need is 5/16th inch.
    try here Ted's hardware
or here for the upscale Kimber Kable lugs
