Where are the Paramount Re-Issues at Amazon? (1 Viewer)

I am eager to order the Paramount Blu-ray re-issues of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE--Ultimate Missions Collection, PAYBACK: THE DIRECTOR'S CUT--Straight Up Special Collector's Edition, SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW, SLEEPY HOLLOW and TRADING PLACES, all of which allegedly come out in less than a week, but none of these are yet available for pre-order at Amazon. Anyone have any insight, or even educated guesses, at to why?

EDITED TO ADD: Wow, they don't even have FACE/OFF: Special Collector's Edition, which is not a re-issue but a brand-new release! What gives?

Where's Face/Off for that matter? I've been trying to pre-order it
and it's not up yet. :frowning:

Paramount just sent me the review discs of Face/Off and Next and I'm working on the reviews now. Paramount has always been quite early with the review copies, so I'm hoping to get more of these this week. As such, I wouldn't be surprised if they are not prevalent on the street dates.

Ohhh, I gotcha! Well I guess we'll see what happens next week.

Oddly, last night, I noticed Amazon had There Will Be Blood dated
05/20/08, I thought it wasn't out until 06/03/08??? Someone's
got their info kinda wonky. :)

Well, I guess it's (mostly) a non-issue now--DVDPriceSearch educated me that DVDEmpire is offering a $15 off $95 coupon. Even if Amazon ends up offering these titles and lists them at $18.95 (the lowest I've seen them regularly offer titles with this MSRP), the DVDEmpire offer would come out $5 cheaper, so I'm going that route (the only caveat is that I had to drop the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE set because DVDEmpire's price for it sucks--I've found three other online vendors with substantially cheaper pre-order prices for it).

Bless you, TonyD! And, no, you didn't misunderstand my question but I can guarantee you all of those title listings came up at Amazon after I created this thread. I'm glad I stuck with DVDEmpire for most of them, since Amazon's prices, shockingly, are not a better discount, and they have no $15 off coupon, to boot. However, Amazon's price for the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE--Ultimate Missions Collection looks like just what daddy was askin' for. I'll be placing my order now...

I find it strange that Amazon lists all the Paramount Blu-Rays for a June 3 release, back two weeks from the 5/20/08 street date originally announced.

Hmm...both my Amazon and DVDEmpire orders show delayed stock...something is rotten in Paramount Denmark...

Why in the world would they be delayed? Paramount isn't manufacturing these Blu-rays from scratch--they've been sitting in a warehouse for a couple of years collecting dust!
