I know nothing about DVD rights, but I think "Meshes of the Afternoon" is one of the best experimental films I've ever seen.

Might be a job for Criterion (or Fantoma, or Zeitgeist).

An outfit called Mystic Fire issued a vhs of some of her films - I can't say for sure which films were included besides Meshes. Might have to make do with vhs on these, Dwayne.

I only found out about this today, so I'm not sure of the quality, although it is "authorized" and the packaging and menus are beautiful. Mystic video distribute some great documentaries on DVD (Joseph Campbell, Terence McKenna, avant garde, etc) and they seem to treat their acquisitions carefully.
Her films transcend standard film criticism. Meshes is unforgettably haunting. Needless to say, I ordered today.
The excellent documentary, In the Mirror of Maya Deren is also on DVD. Buy it. Now: http://www.dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=602267
"Film as dream, film as music. No art passes our conscience in the way film does, and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our souls."
    - Ingmar Bergman
The films of Maya Deren epitomize this statement.
