I have the Logitech Cordless Action w/ the PSTwo. The receiver is taller, and creates an extra foot for the PSTwo. I have to put a 1/4" thick mouse pad under the PSTwo and let the receiver hang out the edge. Aside from that, I got no complain. Just bought the Cordless Action last week, so I'm still trying to get used to the feel of it.

Well, seeing the pics (thank you....I almost asked but didnt want to intrude) just confirms my initial feelings. I need to get the vertical stand for this one:)

It actually will fit nicely next to my xbox on the same shelf if vertical, so no more hiding the ps2 on top of my receiver. I am out of shelf space everywhere.

This one has me puzzled...

I guess I can understand wanting to take advantage of the EB trade-in, especially if you have an older PS2 (like I do) or a launch system. Other than that, I can't imagine why there is such a run on these things. I mean, really, we are talking about a system that is MORE THAN FOUR YEARS OLD and is already one of the largest selling systems in history. How many more potential NEW PS2 customers can there be out there??

I am not complaining, mind you, I just don't get it. Especially considering that we are talking about technically the same hardware as the old system albeit with some interesting cosmetic changes.

Apparently Microsoft are puzzled too, because they didn't anticipate this kind of demand for the new PS2 to cause them to sell out, which in turn increased demand for the Xbox (yeah, Halo 2 didn't hurt either). Xboxes are nowhere to be found either. I know that balancing stock availability with the cost of stockpiling them is a delicate balancing act, but you'd think after a few Christmas rushes these companies would figure out to ramp up production before the holidays. There's no reason for there to be such low stock of consoles that have been around for a few years unless they are being phased out, which they are not. Gamecubes, OTOH... :D

This must be certain urban areas or something. I can't say I've seen a shortage of anything. Stacks of all 3 consoles all over. Nintendo DS's are supposed to be in short supply...but one of my coworkers just ebayed one he got from walmart for about $50 profit. He said there were at least 6 more at the store - he was considering ebaying a few more for profit.
