What DVDs are the most likely to start flipping out when your player is in "decline"?

For example, my Criterion disks play fine, but I'm starting to have trouble with my MPI "Dark Shadows" disks. In general, I'm noticing that the smaller label DVDs are the ones that have trouble. My Pioneer DV-C503 is just starting to have difficulties, but with DVD, there are so many possible sources of trouble.

Have you tried those problematic discs on other players?

Usually when a DVD player is failing it will have similar problems across a wide range of discs and it is not specific to a particular disc or brand of disc. Problems with specific discs or brand labels are usually a sign of poor manufactured product.

When I had a Sony player go bad on me it would act up with visible pixelation or would refuse to read many discs altogether.
