When you say "tuning" are you referring to Fb or F-3?

Fb = tuned frequency of the box.

F3 is the -3dB point at the low of of its frequency response.

I know that, but when people say I've tuned my box to 17Hz, which one are they referring to. Nobody ever seems to specify which one they are talking about.

Anyone who knows the definitions is referring to Fb when they say "tuning". One doesn't "tune" to the F3.
