When do I buy a JVC XV-70? (1 Viewer)

My wife and I have decided on a DVD player for ourselves for Christmas and I have decided on the JVC XV-70bk. When should I purchase it knowing:
1. I will not be able to open it until Christmas
2. I want to get the best price possible (will waiting one month make a difference?)
3. I do not want the internet store with the best price to run out of stock.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Tough call. These are new units from JVC so I am sure that most stores will be well stocked, but it is hard to say.
What TV do you have?
