I'm actually considering the same for 21 Grams (to go w/ a couple other less expensive titles that are otherwise identical to the US version) since there are no rumors nor announcement for that one near as I can tell.

I'm expecting Walkabout and Iron Man in the mail today, and I just ordered True Blood S2, It Might Get Loud, and The Fifth Element ($10.49!). All from Amazon.

Next up will probably be the BBC doc Life in early June.

I got the Alliance version of The Illusionist for $5 @ Future Shop (Also Blade Trilogy and Fanboys). Movie only disc, AVC encoded with DTS HD MA on a BD-25. This is not a movie that screams out for extras, so for the price I'm happy. First Blade is MAR (1.78:1), but the others are OAR. Again, no special features.

Most recent purchases: Fringe: S1, Chuck S1 & 2, Kingdom of Heaven DC, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the corrected The Fifth Element, which I got for $9.99. Fringe is great, lossy audio notwithstanding, KoH looks stunning for an MPEG-2 encode, and will be watching the others later this week.

The Alliance version of "Equilibrium" and I'm sorry that I did, even if it was only 10 bucks. The OAR is wrong and, at least to me, it looks filtered.

I just purchased the Criterion version of Stagecoach. It is about what I would expect, quality wise, from a movie that is over 70 years old. It had been many years since I had seen this movie, and had forgotten the WTF moment. One of the characters faints several times and appears to be ill. Near the end of the movie this woman gives birth to a baby. There was no attempt to even show her being pregnant. I guess that was the way the censors worked back then. And who in their right mind would be traveling by stagecoach when they were 9 months pregnant.
