Mine is 199. Brian Kissinger talked me into signing up for a bowling league last year, and after four months of weekly bowling, I still haven't managed to bowl a 200. :frowning: Sometimes I think he asked me to join just so I could provide he and the other team members with comic relief - it sure as heck wasn't for my athletic prowess! Still, I usually manage to maintain my average of 129.

I once got 186 with an AMAZING () 5 strikes in a row. I was so impressed with myself...that is until I bowled a 108 the next game...and like a 95 the game after that.

Damn, you bowl just like I do! I got six strikes in a row to get that score of 199. In another game, I got five splits in a row - talk about MAD!

I had the same problem. I probably bowled in the 190's about 10 times before I got over the 200 barrier.

236, in junior high and HS, I bowled for about 3 years on leagues, but I've only bowled a few times since. I avg. in the high 170's the last season I bowled, but I was a weird bowler. I could hit 180's all the time, but rarely broke 200, which is a must to be tournament competitive.

What?? Justin I didn't know you were an "avid" bowler. We should go sometime...although I don't even remember how to throw/serve/chuck the bowling ball anymore.

I bowled 3 games in a row back in 1997 - the first time I'd bowled in 6 years. My scores were as follows:

Game 1 (1 or 2 cups of beer in me): 115

Game 2 (1.5 pitchers) : 148

Game 3 (3 pitchers): 178!

178 is my record. Beer definitely helps.

I can relate to that. I once bowled under the influence of....uh, something else, and seemed to do pretty good! Damn, I must have put twenty bucks in the snack machine that night...

4 strikes to start...a couple marks, then another 4 strikes in a row.

I also have a another 7 200 games and a couple state team tournament prizes under my belt. I have my own ball, shoes (Linds--used by pros), and bag. That's how crazy it got!

Here the bowling alley has sponsors that donate money for a 300 game bowled in league, between the 3 I won about $13,000.

My average is 217

My highest was during the league play I was in over 5 years ago. I think I bowled a 235. Followed it up with a 190 and a 185 I believe. Best three game set I've ever bowled.

I consider myself to be the worst male league-bowler on the planet. My average is right around 140 (I'm always just about the lowest in every league I've played in) and my best game ever was a 199. I was thrilled with the score at the time even though I only took 8 pins in my open 10th frame. Oh so close to that 200 game......and haven't come close again since.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I went bowling for the first time in years. Back in HS [86-89], I bowled pretty regularly. Well the first game was horrible, and the second started off pretty medicore as well. Then I figured out I wasn't using my trailing leg properly [to balance me out on release]. I ended the 10th frame with three straight strikes, to get to a 168 for that game. Then I reeled off another 5 straight to start the next game [8 sraight in all]. My last game was a 223.

I think I need to go back.
