what keeps popping into your head? this can be answered in two ways, i guess. first is just your favorite song. second way could be the song that's stuck in your head, ranging from an 'OK' song or that annoying rant stuck that you can't silence. well?

for me, i'd have to say that Radiohead's Paranoid Andriod has been in there for over 10 days now...going on 11! can't get enough of that song (or that band) but await my infatuation with another great song.

Nil Lara's How Was I To Know. I listened to the album again a couple of days ago and can't get the song out of my head. Oh well, at least something's up there, rattling around... [IMG]

Well, my favorite song changes almost daily. There are so many. Right now, I'd have to say Graham Parker's Howling Wind.

As for a stupid song that just pops up out of nowhere, it's You're Having My Baby, which just comes into my mind whenever a friend becomes pregnant. By the way, it's not because it's MY baby.

My favorite song of all time is Herbie Hancock's "Chameleon".

"Summer Madness" by Kool & the Gang, is a very close second.

All-time favorite is probably Sinatra's 'Fly Me To the Moon'. Listen to the brass, which rocks as hard as any

    gee-tar band can.

My favorite song is Sound by James, while my favorite pieces of music are the Ode to Joy and Concierto de Aranjuez , followed by Mediterranean Sundance off the One Night in San Francisco CD by di Miola, de Lucia and McLaughlin.
I have a feeling I made a few spelling errors up there. Sad considering they make up my favorite music, but oh well, it's a start.

After being treated like trash by a girl for 3 long years, listening to that song on my way home from her place the last time I saw her... I'll never get tired of it...
You can read the lyric Here
Woman-Hating songs that don't fall into mysogeny or sexism... Because it's sang by girls!

    Pink Floyd's Learning To Fly!
    Man, I love that song!
Above the planet, on a wing and a prayer,
my grubby halo, a vapor trail in the empty air
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly,
out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened, by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night
There's no sensation to compare with this,
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies,
Tongue tied and twisted, just an earth bound misfit, I
Damn, I almost get choked up when I think about how good those lyrics are![IMG]

I'm quite fond of Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. I also like Leonard Cohen's orginal version, but feel Jeff put some extra emotion into the song. I'm not sure who covered it in the movie Shrek , but I felt that version was very subpar.
