Received 3 on Saturday. 2 are going in the suburban in 2 ft^3 each. The third will be in a sonotube; 8 ft^3, 6" port @ 18Hz withthe AMP350 for a friend.

I was going to build a sonosub, but noticed no one here seems to be going that route. Is that just personal preference?

Oops missed the sonotube in the last post! Sorry.

Actually, this sonotube will be for a friend. I personally will not have another one unless it has a driver on top and bottom. My sonotube with the 1803 had a terrible hopping problem.

I like the way it looked, but my wife did not :frowning:

Ours came in the other day. Here are some pics:

We ran a 20 Hz sine wave through it for this, look how far its moving!!!

Here's a closeup of the cone moving, look how deep that blur is!

This is the box, all clamped up and the ports were being held in place. We'll be ready to listen soon!

Thanks Steve. The covering will most likely be a laminate since its (relatively) cheap, easy to do, very durable, and looks nice. A nice veneer would be ideal, but given the extra work, cost, and difficulty the laminate wins. I'll post pics when it's finished and listening impressions.
