Whats with HD in Chicago (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I have been researching HD in chicago and have been getting different stories.
First I was told the only thing on dish is HDShowtime and HBO. Then a different source told me you can get a couple Discovery stations, PAX, and a couple other stations through the dish. Then a different source told me you cant get true HD of an antenna that its standard def. but broadcast in 480P and widescreen. Then a different source told me that some broadcasts are standard def and some are true HD that are coming from an antenna.
Can someone please explain what is what?
