and known my luck they probably only happen in the US.
Any help is, as always appreciated
You can always try to arrange one in your area.
In terms of assembling a large group, it didn't work very well when I tried it. But I did meet a few HTF members, so I think it was worth the effort.
Start up a post in this area and see what happens.
cheers Rain, but dont think that there is that many members from Ireland. Probably about 5 or so. Would'nt be much of a meeting as we'd most likely end up face down in the street after trying to exit the pub after 20 or so pints.
ya see you Americans and Canaidians talk about goin for a drink for hours. We (Northern)Irish just head to the pub straight away. Interesting conversation makes more sense after an hours worth of Guiness..(not spelt right )
......dont drink myself, but trust me....thats how a HTF meeting over here would end up........sorry..........start up
I think that the fact that we have had about 5 parties so far (I think 5) and that we try to make them pretty big is what makes people do things like fly into Jersey or drive for hours to come to our parties. We keep trying to get a LOT of people, and at the last party we made an arrangement with a nearby hotel so HTFers could stay there at a discount. If you want, you could fly over here to an HTF party.
Declan, the "meets" are truly fun. I have met some awesome people. Usually the talk is big, but it ususally ends up a nice small group. I prefer the "mini-meets", they are a bit more personable. If you make over here, RonP and I would surely take care of those pints for you. We would also ween you off of that weak-ass Guinness , and thats coming from another Irishman ..cheers
Scootapalooza at the Jolley household is worth a plane ride to America, no doubts! Sam
posten- Thanks for the adverti...I mean, compliment.
