When will they ship? How much do they cost?

    Thanks!

    Hi John,
Sorry for the delay in this.
We have decided to offer a port plug to each CS_U owner at no cost to them.(2 plugs if you have 2 subs) We will put a page up with all the details on the website in the near future.
The plug, boxing and even the shipping is on SVS...[IMG]
Give us a few days to catch our breath (PCi!)...and we'll try to get this done(on the website)asap.

Classy move, SVS guys, sending the Ultra owners free plugs. I was actually surprised that this wasn't the plan all along considering your long history of unmatched customer service. I never would have questioned you guys, though, as you always bend over backwards for your customers, even those that buy second-hand (like yours truly). I am very proud to be part of the SVS family...doh! Gotta go, getting weepy [IMG].

    Yes, rock on--fully and absolutely.

Can't wait to try tuning the CS_U. Will be fun. So--I think I have an older model--it has a screw-down grill. Do you other CS_U owners have the removable grill? Just curious--I thought I read somewhere that the newer CS_U's omitted the screws.

    Tom-

Thanks for the freebee. I'm looking forward to the plugs to see what they do to my bass.

I have the screw down grilles on my twin Ultras and would be interested in upgrading if possible.

Andy-You are the first SVS owner I have seen in my area (Seattle) any others? We should hook up sometime.

    -Nate

Rock on, Nate. There is at least one other member 'round these parts with an SVS. Don't recall his name, though. I'm in Redmond now, but will be moving west sometime this spring. (I work in Renton for a major aircraft company you may have heard of.)
Yeah, if the grills are upgradeable, that would be cool, but something tells me that's not the case--I'd expect there to be something different about the grill/tube interface. Anyway, the long (really long) term plan is to have twin CS-U's, perhaps both plugged. I'm patient, though, so I can wait for a B-stock. [IMG]

I posed the question about the grill upgrade to Ron and he said that the grill upgrade would be easy and would become available when the SVS guys get a chance to put it together.

The grille upgrade wouldn't be too bad. You would need a new grille though(because the hold down screws on your current grille have probably put a couple little marks on it).
Just back out the 3 screws...put the 3 foam blocks in the right spot(covering the little screws holes) and press the new grille on[IMG]. The endcaps in all the SVs are 1.5" thick birch...so you don't have to worry about those screws having gone all the way thru.
Again, give us a little time and we'll get something together.

Hey, that's very cool! I was thinking that when I add a twin, they'd look very sloghtly different , due to the screws. Plus, it'd be easier to tune them (with the plugs) on the fly.
I'll be on the lookout for that, should it ever come to fruition. Again, [IMG] to all y'all at SVS!
