I think that's something called "California Doubling" according to TV Tropes, where California (and in this case, Universal's backlots) are supposedly used to represent another area (on this episode, Florida).

Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place again, this time direct through Amazon. Plus, it was on sale for only $40, so, hey, even better.

Well maybe it might be a bootleg if it is it’s the most professional ones I’ve seen, the cases and box looks great but the disks are all single layer, ripping to my plex server all the eps range from 800 to 1gb and are pretty compressed. Maybe someone with a set could verify these sizes. I’d shout did release this then they are mill creek quality

Well I think these TJ hooker disks are legit. On my 65” tv they are watchable but even thou shout didn’t use the HD remasters these would have looked a lot better if they had used dual layered dvd’s And less compression

Are you talking about the original versions of the all-in-ones of each (gingham on cardboard for Andy Griffith, heart packaging for Lucy)? Per your description, that's what comes to mind for me.

That's the first thing I check when I get a new DVD. If it's not dual layer it's probably a bootleg.

I bought the complete WKRP at a used store on a trip in Tennessee. Get home, checked it in the computer. Bootleg. I don’t know how the legit Shout release looks but this one is terrible. VHS quality. Seriously.

Yep it’s a boot, contacted eBay getting my money back. Really surprised how good these things are now I used to be able to spot a boot by the packaging. The only way to spot these is to put them in a pc, the average consumer wouldn’t be able to tell the packaging even the disks , other than the transfers are first rate. I reordered fro shout factory

The WKRaP on the label should have been a clue.
It really does stink though. Hope it wasn't too big a hit.

I got a bootleg from ebay last year - Harry Potter collection. The packaging looked perfect. Reported it to ebay - was able to send it back but the seller is still there and still selling them.

I trust it was-- I take things literally a lot, and I thought it really did say that. Thanks for the clarification!

those are THEY! I also stupidly got the mash medicine box. Looks amazing... dvds skip left and right. I rebought that whole thing too in the separate cases. and brady bunch in the wacked out shag box....with horrible holders. And Wild Wild West with the same dumbass cases. will be rebuying those too someday, since i"m a dumbass and bought em! lol

I don't mind these wide cases things have been coming in so cheap late, the ones with all the folders stacked up. Hogan's Heroes had like 3 stacked on each spindle! that's the only one to complain about. Perry Mason and Twilight Zone blu ray both had some that were hard to put back on those spindles, now that I really hate! I just put the dvd i'm watching in a paper holder with a list of the next episode to be watched and it works good. I worry about markings from the oily holders. That has been causing problems in the thin cases for me. i don't know if that promote rotting or not. I don't think it does. it can be hard to clean though.
