I'm really getting sick of data being trashed simply because I don't have a good tool for minor/mod corruption. With Diskwarrior, Disk First Aid, and/or Tech Tool I can pretty much bring back any HFS/HFS+ formatted drive no matter what the problem is. (There is no OS on these drives, I just want my partitions back)

What is the closest equivalent for NTFS on XP/Dos/Bootable Linux App??

Do you have any idea how the data is getting trashed to begin with? If it keeps happening then it suggests there's issues elsewhere.

Only thing in common is large file transfers for HD PVR and also HD Archives. Until SATA drives come down a bit and I setup my RAID 5 I'm stuck c JBOD and want something to at least salvage data when this happens.

I've found "GetDataBack" and "R-studio." Any opinions or other suggestions?
