Anyone else notice it or is it just me and my computer? Everyones post count is gone from under their names where it usually shows how many posts you made, there is nothing there now. What's going on?

Probably so people would stop posting useless things just to up their post count and in their minds, make them seem like better people.

Well done, administrators. I notice, for anyone who cares, that the post count is still in the profile.

I don’t need the post count to know that Jack and Patrick have comments on everything under the sun. And that I could post forever and never catch up.

I also don’t need the post count to figure out whose opinions are valid and (very few) whose are ones to ignore.

I can think of at least 4 distinct reasons that I like this idea.
And I'm keeping them all to myself. :D

I can live with this...tho, durn, I was a week away from hitting 1000. What I dont yet comprehend (and dont bother) is how the Time Online works. I just know it's a lot...

You know what?

This is the happiest day for me since
starting this forum with my partner.

I and most of the HTF staff have slowly
grown to absolutely hate post counts.

Why?

A small minority on this board have abused
those post counts time and time again by posting
superficial posts in order to boost their post
counts.

So many problems in this forum over the past
year or more because people were more concerned
with their post counts instead of what they
were posting.

Now that the post counts are out of public view
I think many of us here at HTF can sleep better
at night.

Sorry to sound so mean about this -- but those
of you who have watched this board degenerate
because of concerns over post counts will appreciate
what we have done by removing them from view
altogether.

I think this a great idea. I did enjoy watching my post count go up, but that didn't make me post stupid things (although some would argue my topics about deodorant and cereal were stupid).

Very good decision! I completely agree with this. I even suggested it a few months ago. I'm glad it's finally done! That damn post count is causing too much problems among members. Unfortunately, it's not really gone (it's still present in the profile), but it's a start.

It's a fine idea, except I use my post count to track the last ten posts I've participated in. How bout an icon like that?

edit:
nevermind, I found it ! (search icon)

Finally! Yeah it's better this way, and no I'm not going to click on a members profile just to see how many posts he has, what for? And worse I might inadvertantly see their member photo, gaah!;)
Good idea guys!:emoji_thumbsup:
ps. I have over 8000 posts in case you're wondering, no no don't check! Damn!:D

I don't mind that it'd gone, but I used that link to watch my latest posts... can we get that link back? or something like last 10 posts?
