Mike,

What did you think of His Girl Friday? Also, did you appreciate the Albany joke lines?:)

Mighty nice little town, Albany. They've got the state capitol there, you know.

I really enjoyed it. It was my first time viewing. The two ines which made me laugh the loudest were when Grant's character described Ralph Bellamy's character:

He looks like that fellow in the movies. You know... Ralph Bellamy.

And his later reference in the film to Archie Leech. They both just took me completely off-guard. Quite a film--which turns on a dime from comedy to thriller to drama and back to comedy...before you get a chance to catch your breath.

David And Bathsheba didn't arrive but Coney Island did. I watched that last night. I've also watched all three of the Otto Preminger films. Sadly and disappointingly, in the Blu-ray package there is the same difference as in the DVDs. The picture quality of Fallen Angel is way below the quality of Whirlpool and Where The Sidewalks Ends. All three are good, gripping films.

We're back in the States for vacation and visiting our daughter and her family this week. (Next week we will be with my son and his family) I watched the NFL Playoffs (Go Falcons) this weekend and took my wife and daughter to see Singing In The Rain yesterday afternoon. Saturday night we watched Old Yeller and decided it would be to intense for the grandchildren to see. They'll have to wait until they are little bit older. But meanwhile, we are all going to see Moana later today.

I watched The Founder in a movie theater. I drove down to Detroit Metro area to watch it so about 135 mile round trip. The film was worth as the drive as the film is about how Ray Kroc partnered up with the McDonald brothers and then basically shortchanged them out of McDonald's.
