I would assume differently

I think Disney is dipping their toes back in the water, seeing how their 4k physical disc releases sell.

If they find success, there is no doubt MARY POPPINS would be under consideration sooner than later. It's one of THE Crown Jewels of their library.
The good news is that many films have already been released on 4k. That means the longer they are willing to release 4ks, the odds go up because there are only so many potential candidates.

For all we know, a 4k Mary Poppins may already be in the works. And it’s probably a more complicated one because of all the dupey opticals.
