What's latest on a re-release of Smokey & The Bandit ? (1 Viewer)

Tried doing a search for this topic but couldn't find anything specific.

I really would love to own this movie on DVD but I hear the first release is not up to par on anything ,ie., video, audio, and extras.

I know a lot of us would love a SE of this movie. Are there any late developements on a SE of this movie down the road?

C'mon UNIVERSAL please give us a SE of this awesome and funny flick!!! P L E E E E E E E ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZEE!!

Doubtful. But you can enjoy the sequel this Tuesday, and Best Buy for one was yesterday morning stocking up on cheap copies of the original. I think that release is decent enough for what it is, and the $9.99 price ain't bad at all.
