Has anyone heard what's happening with HBO's Oz on DVD? One release per year seems a little Simpsons-esque.

At this rate the whole run won't be out until 2007-8. Me sad.

If Tom Fontana was right last year, then S4 should be announced soon for a 10/5 release. However, HBO has delayed other sets recently...a LOT of them. So the 10/5 date might not be dead-on any more, but surely not more than a month or so later.

I've noticed Season 4 is twice as long as all the other seasons. Do you know if this means HBO will split the season into two parts, or market it as one (very expensive) box?

I just got done watching the Season 3 boxset, and am eagerly awaiting Season 4.

I think this is the best dramatic series ever produced on television.

I love the show too. I just fear that the DVD sales will peter out before all the seasons are released. The last two seasons weren't that great really anyway, but the completist in me wants them all!

I would expect they'd separate Season 4, parts 1 and 2, which aired in separate blocks of eight anyway (and could just as easily have been called 4 and 5...).

Yes, even with some quality decline... I hope the whole series makes it out. The finale was a lot of fun...
