I've got a Bravo DVD player with DVI output. You can now customize the DVI resolution as well. What is the best flat panel 19" for watching DVDs (without going stratospheric on the price)? Does anyone have a recommendation?

The stratospheric price limitation will probably eliminate this, but knowing your likely application for this, have you considered the Apple widescreen display? I think it's called the cinema something or other... (Great name, huh?!)

Either the 20" or 23" one of these would fit the bill!

Of course, you would have to add $99 to that price for a DVI->ADC connector.

Do you have a rough estimate on a budget?

I would be fine up to about $1000, depending on the size. I could go up higher if there is a huge increase in quality.

    I think at least 19" 4x3.

The best for DVD's at that price is probably the $999.99 (after rebate) Real Digital RD2200 22" 16:9 display:

It's the native resolution of DVD on square pixel fixed pixel displays. DVI input too, of course. 400:1 contrast, very bright at 420 nits, and 16ms total average response (very fast).

That looks like it's just what I'm looking for. Thanks!
