The local highend BM store has recommend Audioquest Type 4, running about $100-12 ft. Any opions or recommendation?

I recommend 14-ga. copper wire, rated for in-wall installation - about $25 for a 100 ft. reel at Lowes or Home Depot. (Actually 14-ga. plain insulated copper lamp cord will do just as well, I just find the extra stiffness and insulation on the in-wall stuff to be a plus.)

Seventy cents per inch vs. two cents per inch. Even if there were some audible difference between the wires (and I don't believe there is) there is no way one sounds 35 times better than the other, so as to be worth 35 times more. Save some money on the wire, and buy yourself some more movies. ;)

Regards,

Joe

I agree with Joseph. I've been using 14 ga. wire I got at Lowe's, for about $25 for 100 ft., for several years. It's worked perfectly.
Good luck!

It shouldn't.
If you have enough wire, you might cut about an inch off each end, so you'll get a fresh, new connection.

Thank you for your feedback, I'll sick with my monster cable and cut the ends off. As recommended I'll look a monoprice.com for any additional cables I need.
