I remember hearing about this just after Die Hard 3 hit $100m. Helming was McTiernan, and it was to be set in the jungle. From what I remember, it was kinda cast iron, ready to shoot!
I'd love to see another McClane adventure. He's the daddy of modern action. Certainly would muck up those Trilogy box sets though wouldn't it! [IMG]

I don't think there was ever any solid info re. DH4, only rumors... And now recently, Bruce Willis said that there would not be one after the 9/11 disaster...
Besides, wouldn't "Die Hard 4 (in the jungle)" = "Predator"? [IMG]

Who remembers the Die Hard In A Supermarket sketch from The Ben Stiller Show?

I'm thinking that maybe the Die Hard 4 in the jungle rumor might have something to do with another McTiernan film: Medicine Man. Was that after DH3?

It was based on a script by Alan ("Spawn") McElroy called "Tears From the Sun." It's sort of like "Deliverance" in the rainforest with some sort of gold-mining angle. It's been years since I've read it.

I think "Die Hard 4" is officially dead. Willis isn't that interested in the action genre anymore, or so he said after 9/11.

[IMG][IMG] I remember that sketch! I died at the sight of Ben Stiller as John McClane jumping off the roof of the supermarket with two bags of groceries in his arms, as lettuce and other assorted fruits and vegatables exploded behind him![IMG][IMG]

Well, I checked a couple of Willis' DVDs and some of them actually list it in his filmography. Last Man Standing lists it as being released in 2000. Weird, eh?
