We all know about the problems with the AUTO switch not working on DVDs like Phantom Menace because of the flag problems. People are complaining about having to go into the receiver menu all the time to switch THX EX on manually; why not just leave it set to ON all the time? What's the problem with doing this?

The answer is, NOTHING. you can leave it on all the time, just know that you will be having matixed sound from your back channels with every source. Which to me is just fine, Thats what I do, but some people dont like their back speakers used when software isnt true 6.1..
