Terminator 2 Judgement Day. Age 8 and a personal favorite since.
Platoon, age 15
You guys are so young, mine was King Kong way back in 1933, but they since cut out all the adult stuff and now its only a PG, bugger.
Naah I'm not really 93 years old. My first r-rated film? Thats like an 18 over here in England isn't it? So my first r-rated film would be The Omen, aged 13 and a half, I was always tall and crazy looking so I was always accepted into 18 cert films back in the 70's, spent a lot of time watching violent kung fu and action films in darkened theaters back than, affected my young mind, never been the same since (violently kicks monitor off desk), control must learn control....
i thought they restored all of the bad stuff back in to king kong, or at least tcm did .
Big Bad Mama when I was 11 or 12.
It was the first movie I saw on HBO when it first hit the air on channel 3 in New York. I was blessed enough to have a TV in my room as a kid, and saw all kinds of stuff that I should not have.
Mmmmmmm, Angie Dickenson's boobs. A fond memory for sure!
Was Airplane! rated R? If so that was my first (and the first time I saw breasts ) at about 10 yrs. old.
I also remember seeing An Officer and a Gentleman at around 12 yrs. old.
Runaway Train at age 5 or 6. I hid on the staircase as my parents watched it in the living room.
pg (some how) and also it has a very funny joke about drugs that always gets cut out of the tv version. Do you remeber the rape scene
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, age 6. It scared the hell out of me and I had nighmares for a week. It was on one of those big magnetic tape like discs, they where square shaped and about the size of an LP, I can't remember what that format was called. At any rate, it didn't last long.
The Blues Brothers.
My opinion on nuns was altered slightly after this film.
I saw lots of R movies on video and cable as kid, but I can't remember which one was first. But I do remember the first R movie I saw in theaters. It was Face/Off and I was 13.
My first R rated theatrical experience was Coming to America (1988). A little nudity goes a long, long way when you're 14......... :b
RoboCop. Murphy's murder gave me nightmares for weeks.
I think it may have been Deadly Blessings when I was 10 or 11.
T2 for me as well. I think I was around 6 or 7. My mom and my older sister still haven't let him hear the end of it .
Alien, I was about 7 or 8.
Rollerball , I was about 10 or 11 and had to beg my parents to let me see it.
How's this for a happy childhood? I saw 'The Exorcist' for the first time when I was 6, and I saw 'Halloween' for the first time when I was 7!
They always showed them at night on HBO, and being so young, I had to go straight to bed afterwards...ALONE!
Do you have any idea what it's like to have to walk down a darkened hallway, to an even darker room after just seeing 'The Exorcist'!
I am damn lucky to have turned out somewhat normal!
I was about 6 or 8 when I saw it, I loved it, still do.
