What fictional / non-fiction UNcancelled TV shows made in your country, or that come from overseas, that are still in production and still being made, do you wish would get cancelled, as you can't stand them and please give your reason/s why for any picks ?

Here's what I do when there's a show on that I truly hate:

    I change the channel.

I only concern myself with shows I enjoy and wish NOT to get cancelled.

I guess the only thing I wish were gone was a lot of the REALITY TV garbage. I don't mind other shows, but I just think a story is more interesting than a bunch of trashy people running around embarrassing themselves for their 15 minutes of fame.

I'm just tired of the new trend of reality TV, because I'm frightened that more scripted shows are getting axed or pushed aside for more...crap.

I also agree with the Reality TV pick. Do we really need to see World Idol (worthless spinoff of equally evil American Idol)? As for other shows, just get rid of Bernie Mac show and I will be fine.

I can't say I wish ill will upon anything - everything except Luis is someone's favorite show, and these people all have mouths to feed.

Would I cry terribly if Enterprise were cancelled in an effort to purge Rick Berman from Star Trek? No. A couple months ago I might have nominated Jake 2.0 so that Keegan Connor Tracy would be free to be on a show I actually liked, but it's grown on me.

That's really the only reason I'd wish cancellation on a show - to free up people I want to see in something better. And I can't think of someone being really squandered now that Luis Guzman's horror show is gone.

I think that reality shows that are done more as comedies (The Osbournes, The Simple Life, The Joe Schmoe Show) are fine. The numerous competitive ones are boring.

*ALL* of the following on UK television:

    (1) soap operas
    (2) cookery programmes (because in the UK, instead of being informative, they've turned into food porn these days)
    (3) DIY programmes (sorry, a translation is probably needed here - programmes featuring home redecoration/renovation)
    (4) gritty police dramas more concerned with corruption and the personal lives of the cops than the plot
    (5) 'fly on the wall' documentaries that basically make fun of the participants
    (6) Jerry Springer and all similar shows

Not an unrealistic pipe dream - with the exception of the soap operas, this describes UK TV a couple of decades ago.

Fear Factor. Biggest piece of crap out there.

that 70s show stinks in my opinion.

Saturday Night Live is way past it's Prime.

    NYPD Blue. Go away already.

    CSI Miami. Boringggg!

    Enterprise. Please make it stop.

Bachelor and any other incarnations. If these people need dates, use the Internet.

    Stargate. Overrated.

    Anything else on Sci Fi.

Charmed. Another one that has outstayed it's welcome. How many more slinky outfits can they dress up in everyweek for fanboys?

Frasier. Please make good on the last season rumor.

    Any and all "reality" shows.

Any Food TV show featuring Emeril Lagasse or Bobby Flay.

    "Yes, Dear" on CBS.

CBS Nightly News with Dan Rather (or keep the show, just fire Rather).

I'd be the opposite. The only "reality" show that is worth anything is "The Amazing Race", which is more about healthy competition than soap opera antics. The rest of the reality shows can all go in the trash.
