I was just sitting here and thinking about this...but what TV show really do need to be out on DVD in the next 2 or 3 years...I made a short list here but feel free to add to it...

Cheers *a nice big box set would be so cool*

Dallas *I don't like the show, but I know some people out there I bet wouldn't mind a set, it was one of the biggest shows of the early 80's*

    The Wonder Years

    Mary Tyler Moore Show

Taxi *for me this would make my day*

Three's Company *anything Don Knotts on DVD would kick ass*

There's all sorts of TV material that I'd like to see available on DVD, but some are obscure items that may never see the light of day on the format. However, as far as famous series go, these TV icons are DVD no-brainers:
    WKRP IN CINCINNATI
THE OUTER LIMITS (original 1960s version)
    THE FUGITIVE (original 1960s version)
THE ADDAMS FAMILY (original 1960s version)
    THE WILD WILD WEST
    MAVERICK
    SCTV
ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS/THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR
    LOST IN SPACE
DRAGNET (both the 1960s version, and more 1950s episodes)
    THE HONEYMOONERS
    JONNY QUEST (original 1960s version)
    ROCKY & BULLWINKLE
BATMAN (1960s live-action Adam West version)
-plus the somewhat-lesser-known horror anthology classic, Boris Karloff's THRILLER (a handful of episodes were released on VHS & LD by Universal in the mid-1990s, so at least there's a small precedent for this great show to possibly be released on DVD in the future).

A number of TV series should be released on DVD (all in season sets, this is a partial list):
ALF: Only 4 seasons, plus a 1996 sequel telefilm. USA Today printed a false report that this was coming to DVD.
All in the Family: It's coming, and it better be uncut.
    The Bob Newhart Show
Cheers: Well, of course. The episodes are best viewed in order.
    The Cosby Show
The Facts of Life: Even though season one was not very good at all, subsequent seasons were much better, and I know a number of people who would buy the complete series. There are also two telefilms made during the run of the series, and a recent reunion. These could get separate discs.
Family Ties: Nick at Nite seems to be relegating it to the middle of the night; a complete DVD collection would let fans watch the episodes in a non-ungodly hour. There is also a 1985 telefilm.
Fernwood 2Night: A hilarious sendup of local talk shows starring Martin Mull and Fred Willard. Not shown in reruns since the early 1990s.
The Golden Girls: Paging John Berggren...
There's a petition for it with over 1300 signatures, and it could always use a little more:
    http://www.PetitionOnline.com/golden/
Hill Street Blues: Not only did it redefine the police drama, it was a great series as well.
I Love Lucy: But the episodes need to be properly restored first.
    Married with Children
Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman: Not shown on television anymore, and that's a damn shame.
The Mary Tyler Moore Show: I'll throw my hat up in the air once they release this on DVD (uncut, and with the MTM logo, of course)
    Newhart
One Day at a Time: They never show it in reruns anymore, and it used to be one of my favorite shows.
Punky Brewster: If cheesy 80s nostalgia is all the rage, then this is a natural.
    Roseanne
St. Elsewhere: Once you've had St. Elsewhere, you'll never go elsewhere. There are music rights issues to be ironed out first.
Sanford & Son: I already devoted more than 2 years of my life to collecting the Columbia House tapes, and I'm still missing 20 episodes. I want season sets.
WKRP in Cincinnati: May I say again, uncut, original music, original logos.

Cheers and Taxi are big on my list of TV shows I want on DVD *most of the cast still get along so it wouldn't be hard for both these DVD sets to have a ton of extra's*...Married with Children wouldn't be hard also because everyone still gets along with each other...some others I thought of...

    The A-Team

Reverb *HBO's concert series that would be cool to have a box set of*

Six Feet Under *I bet that it's in the works*

Dark Shadows *this would kick ass also*

I've got a long list, but it'd be good for people to check out TV Shows On DVD and sign up for an account. You can indicate which program's you have bought, which ones you want to buy, and which ones you want to come out on DVD.
Personally, my list is huge, and it includes:
    Alien Nation
    V: The Series
    Will & Grace
    Golden Girls
    Frasier
    The Tick
    Six Feet Under
    and on and on....
